I sneezed and got a terrible throat cramp or adam s apple charlie horse . Afterwards the pain lingered for hours. Then it happened again a few days later. Today I was drinking (gulping down) a cold coke and it happened again. I can also feel my thyroid or circoid cartilage making a popping noise when I move it left and right and it produces that same painful sensation that I experienced when I had the cramp. Now it hurts when I swallow, but no pain when i just breathe normally. Could it be cancer or a serious condition?
Hi. Read and understood your query and concerns. You have painful throat and the cartilages of it. This can not be the symptom of cancer as it is always painless to start with. I would advise you the following: Take liquid diet. Anti-inflammatory medicines and rest to the voice. Symptomatic treatment for any cough and so on. See the results in a few days and you will be fine. If in doubt consult an ENT Surgeon for clinical evaluation and treatment.
