What Causes Throat Pain When Eating Or Swallowing?

I have what seems like a sore throat but it is very far down and to the left of my collar bone. It comes and goes over the past few months but lately is not going away and sometimes hurts when I talk or swallow. Nothing is swollen. I recently had an endoscopy for other reasons would this have shown up because it did not. Do I need to see an ENT?

Hello,
Welcom to
Healthcaremagic.com.

As I read your query it seems to me it is esophagitis.
It can be because of acid reflux to esophagus as you mention it is too deep. It can also be sore throat or pharyngitis as you said it hurts while talking.

For GERD you need to follow proper sleep cycle.
Avoid too spicy and chunk foods as well as oily meals.
Sometimes esophagitis are not picked by endoscopy because it heals if acid regurgitation is arrested.

You must visit a Gastroenterologist or even ENT spacialist. During mean time you can take Pantoprazole 40mg plus domperidone 10mg tablet, empty stomach in morning. It will provide you relief.

Hope my answer will help you and write to is for further queries if needed.
Regards
