What Causes Throat Pain With Swelling And Greenish Mucus?
my throat is paining as if i swallowed a razor blade.. no sneezing .. no coughing unless mucus comes but its very difficult to spit that greenish mucus out of the swollen throat.. recently i had a cold but now no sneezing or running nose.. please give an advice as to what i can do to my swollen and sore throat
This is surely indicative of an active bacterial infection. I would advise you to consult a doctor for clinical evaluation, examination and investigations. You will be started on an antibiotic, anti-inflammatory with pain killer property like Ibuprofen; decongestant if required. Use Povidone Iodine gargles. Take plenty of oral fluids if tolerable otherwise you have to get admitted for intravenous antibiotic and IV fluids.
