What Causes Throbbing Pain Around The Area Of Wisdom Tooth Extraction?
I got just one of my wisdom teeth out on the bottom a week ago. I've been noticing recently such horrid, ache pain in the two teeth where I had my one pulled. I can't eat on that side. It feels like a throbbing/pulsating feeling in the two teeth. My dentist thought I had dry socket and has been treating me for that but it doesn't seem to help....should I give it more healing time or go back ASAP?
So sorry to hear about your problem and will try my level best to resolve it..
As per your complain if you have severe pain in the teeth adjacent to the wisdom tooth that is pulled and if pain is not present at the extraction site then there is a possibility that there is decay in any of the tooth that is painful or both teeth can be decayed on the side where the two teeth are in contact with each other and if cavity is deep there can be severe pain.. In case if it is due to Dry Socket then it can also cause radiating pain to adjacent teeth and jaw.. I would suggest you to consult an Oral Surgeon and get evaluated and get an x ray of both the teeth done and once diagnosis is made treatment can be done accordingly.. As of now take higher painkillers like TRAMADOL or Ketorolac for relief.. Do cool compresses over the cheek..
Hope this helps..
Regards..
