What Causes Throbbing Pain In The Arm After Taking Blood Pressure?

My blood pressure is 153/103. After I took my blood pressure an hour ago, my lower arm from elbow to hand is throbbing. Should I be worried. The monitor got so tight it cut the circulation off to hand and it has been throbbing for over an hour now.

Hi,

I cannot say in your particular case, but generally, if a blood pressure cuff causes pain, then it was on too long and it takes minutes to hours but the pain is worst at first and subsides.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
