What Causes Throbbing Sensation In Between Pubic Bone And Leg?
Hello, I ve been experience a strange sensation at the top join area of my right leg. It feels like a dull throbbing on and off. It isn t painful but uncomfortable. It seems to be located in the groin area where there is a curve between the top of the leg and lower stomach area (public bone) I am concerned it might be a gland!
Throbbing sensation between your pubic bone and leg is commonly due to hernia (inguinal hernia-inner groin, femoral hernia-outer groin or incisional hernia) trauma. Other medical conditions that can cause similar symptoms are muscle strain, injury to muscle / tendon, infections or tumors, bursitis, OA, fracture, etc.
You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP. Get X-ray, CT and MRI to detect the pathology causing you discomfort. In the meantime take NSAIDS, Naproxen / Ibuprofen, one SOS for relief. Application of ice packs and compression bandage may give relieve. Give rest to the affected area and do not strain or do exercises without the assistance of a physical therapist.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
