What Causes Thumping Nose In Back?

I have a thunk sound in my upper back when I bend over for a deep stretch. When any weight is applied (if I cross my arms above my head while bending over), I feel and hear a "thump" sound and a snapping of muscle? bone? between my shoulder blades as if something is going back into position. Ever hear of this? Thanks!

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
This is likely to be due to a muscle spas or rubbing of bones with each other. If it is not associated with any pain then there is no need to worry.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
