What Causes Ticking Sensation In Ear Along With Slight Blood Discharge?
I felt a tickle in my ear so I thpught I might have a little water in it. I gently used q-tip and it came out bloody! I m 57 and have no pain or dizziness or anything. Will it just stop? Should I be concerned ? I did not stick the q-tip in deep enough to hurt my eardrum.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns....
As per your complain it seems that tickling in ear was due to infection in the ear and due to inflammation secondary to infection there is bleeding from the ear.. I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis.. In case if there is infection you will be advised to take antibiotics like Augmentin, anti-inflammatory painkiller like advil or aleve, steroids and decongestants.. You should take care of this and immediately opt for treatment as long standing infection can lead to damage to ear drum..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora..
