Hello I have gone through your question and understand your concern. The symptoms of itching particularly worse at the night time is suggestive of Scabies. It is an itchy, highly contagious skin disease caused by an infestation by the itch mite or Scarcoptes scabiei. They burrow in skin particularly in the fold of skin like armpits, inside of elbow, behind the knee, web space of fingers and toes. The mite crawls out of the burrows at the night time making the itch more intense at night. The disease spread via direct contact and through sharing beds, towels, clothes etc. over the counter medication cannot eradicate the disease completely.
