What Causes Tickling Sensation In The Throat?
I have a dry tickle on the left side of my throat that coughing does not reach. Drinking fluids or cough drops give temporary relief, but it comes right back. It is worse at night and I wake up coughing several times during the night. Sitting up does provide a little relief, but I still cough.

It is due to local inflammation in the throat.
You can take antihistamines like cetirizine for symptomatic relief. Do warm saline gargles also.
If symptoms persist better to consult an ENT specialist and get evaluated.
