What Causes Tickling Sensation In Throat After Discontinuing Levothyroxine?

I was taking precriptions atorvastatin 20 mg daily, citalopram 20 mg daily, nuvigil 125 mg daily levothroxine0.25mg. daily and lisinopril/HCTZ 10/12.5 mg. daily. I stopped the levothrozine a month ago because I was having muscular pains. I now have a tickling in my throat and have a dry cough and gag on mucus. What medicines could be giving me side affects?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The most common cause for dry cough, tickling in the throat and mucus is post nasal drip.
This is most usually caused by allergens. It is treated by avoiding the allergen if it is known , oral antihistamines and topical steroid nasal sprays (eg flonase, nasonex, nasocort, rhinocort)

This is not a side effect of the medications mentioned.

I hope this helps
