What Causes Tightness And Involuntary Movements In Hands?
Hi. Both of my hands are shaking involuntarily when I try to hold something tight or tighten my hands into fists. It just started about 10 minutes ago. Now yesterday I went to they gym and did weight training with a trainer. My arm are sore. Could that be a cause?
Involuntary movements in the hands & inability to tighten fists is commonly due to Neuropathy, it can be peripheral or diabetic neuropathy. If diabetic, control your blood glucose level at all cost to prevent worsening of the symptoms. However, you are suggested to see a neurologist, get Nerve Conduction tests, Nerve biopsy, Imaging tests done. Get treated at the earliest. Take vitamin B6, B12, Folic acid & minerals. Avoid addictions if any. However, the inability to tighten fists can occur due to other medical conditions like Carpal tunnel syndrome, nerve injury(ulnar/ median nerve) or Wernicke's syndrome (Neurological disease). Get clinically examined & assessed by a GP, get treated to avoid the worsening of the symptoms.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
