General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
I had gone through your query and understand your concern.

Any swelling in the scalp will cause pain and tightness as structures are arranged very tightly in scalp. It takes times as the swelling is still present. Using ice over the swelling may help.

You can any analgesics to reduce the pain. As you have suffered an injury to the head it is advisable to consult a doctor to get it examined.

I hope this helps.

If you have any other queries I'll be happy to help.

Regards,
Dr.Prathap Kumar
