What Causes Tightness And Warm Sensation In The Chest Post Marijuana Intake?

I ve been having a tight, warm chest pain after smoking weed for the last 3 months. The pain isn t always severe but at some points gets very painful and is painful breathing in deeply. I ve also experienced very occasional pain when sober, most often when I lay on my left side. Any idea what could be the issue?

hello,
smoking marijuana causes fast heart rate or tachycardia in other words. rapid heart beat can sometimes lead to uncomfortable feeling in chest, leading to palpitations and sometimes breathing difficulty can occur too. try to avoid deep inhalations through bong and joints and reduce smoking frequency. and if pain persists please consult your physician, you may get a physical examination done and tests for your heart like electrocardiogram (ecg) and treadmill stress tests if it persists.
