What Causes Tightness Between The Throat And Upper Abdomen?

I have a tightness focused in my sternum, but starts near my throat and extends to my upper abdomen. It only started a few hours ago and I m not sure what s causing it because I m pretty sure it s not indigestion. It s not too hard to breathe, but its certainly uncomfortable.

Thanks for posting your question on HCM!
I appreciate your concern regarding chest discomfort.
Age, gender, duration of problem.
I am of the opinion that you must get the ECG done to rule out any heart related problem which may present as chest tightness found to be uncomfortable.

Other causes may include inflammation of the food pipe.
Kindly consult your doctor with ECG.
Regards!
