What Causes Tightness In Lungs And Difficulty In Deep Breaths?

I have been painting some doors, cabinets and trim in my home for the past few days. The next morning after the first day I painted, I woke up feeling like my lungs are tight. It was hard to take a deep breath, and now this feeling has continued ever since.

Welvome to HCM,
I read you query carefully. I need to know some details regarding it.
1- Do you have any history of dust allergy or something like that?
2- Is there any history of Asthma in your family??
3- Is there any history of smoking?
4- is there any complaint of sneezing,sore throat or cough?
If i will be you treating doctor i will suggest you to go for chest x-ray and for symptomatic relief i will prescribe you Anti-Allergic like ceturizine 10 mg once a day (at night) for 7 days along with Montelukast 10 mg once a day (at night) for 7 days.
