What Causes Tightness In The Calves With Difficulty In Climbing Down?
My calves especially my right leg feels tight and it prohibits me from squatting . I feel sluggish as far as when I stand and going down the stairs doesn t feel as easy as it was a few months ago. I am 64 years old I just fish in April taking Harmoni for hep c and it is no longer in my blood. I usually am very active I do a lot of yard work as I am an avid gardener. I take blood pressure medication also a diuretic. I have been taking this med for about ten years my blood pressure is not sky high and if I can get back to the swing of things I know that I would be able to lower it and get off the meds.
Tightness in calves leading to difficulty in squatting is suggestive of stiffness in calf muscles. Stiffness in muscles can be age related. Light exercises for the calf muscles can help to ease the stiffness.
