What Causes Tightness In The Chest And Dizziness After An Injury?

The other night I fell almost five feet off a wall and hit my head. I had a cat scan and chest X-ray and everything came back find. However I still have a lot of tightening on my chest. Is this normal since its been three days after my fall? I am not dizzy or nauseous just a tight feeling in my chest.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The required investigations have already been done i.e. CT scan and Chest X-ray. Being these normal, you need not to worry. The chest tightness that you are feeling can be due to muscle injury that could be away from your attention during the fall.

You may take muscle relaxer like Diclofenac-MR in case you find it bothersome.

For now, this is sufficient. In case it remains unresolved for a few more days, I suggest you go to your healthcare provider to rule out further causes of chest tightness.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
