What Causes Tightness In The Throat After A Rusty Razor Cut?

i cut myself with a rusty razor a few days ago and i have a feeling of tightness in my throat that comes and goes for a few days now i got worried so i have been researching about tetnus im hoping the tightness i feel isnt a symptom of tetnus maybe just a strained muscle from exercising i had a tetnus shot three years ago should i be concerned and make a dr appt

Hi,

You had taken tetanus shot within three years.

So you may need not to repeat your tetanus toxoid vaccine again.

Difficult breathing, painful jaw muscle contraction, etc can be symptoms.

Just tightness cannot be called tetanus.

However, it's advisable to consult nearby physician for detailed evaluation.
