My 19 year old son has been having issues with his throat tightening when he eats. He can pinpoint it to specific foods, such as: bread, rolls, pancakes, and cake. It happens almost every time he eats. If he eats slowly (slower than normal), he can avoid the tightening. He said that if he sits still for 5 to 10 minutes the tightening goes away. Sometimes he feels like he has to vomit for the tight feeling to go away.
