The history described by you seems to be related to Laryngo-pharyngeal reflux. Laryngopharyngeal Reflux (LPR), also called Silent Reflux, occurs when there is a backflow of acid from your stomach up to the level of the voice box (larynx) and throat (pharynx). Commonest symptoms include, lump in the throat, hoarseness, frequent throat clearing/coughing, with or without chest discomfort.
The cyst in the lymph node may not be related to these symptoms of yours. Consult your doctor for a thorough evaluation and management.
