What Causes Tightness On The Left Side Of The Chest?
I have some tightness just in the left side of my chest on the top of the pectoral. I also have some on and off twitches that come and go in my heart area. I don t know if it is a muscle twitch or my heart. I don t have shortness of breath. My blood pressure is 120 over 80 mid afternoon and 116 over 75 morning. I am 63 years old I weigh 161 lbs. and 5 5 tall I also lift weights. Just curious there isn t any heart conditions in my family. I did over extend my left shoulder this summer and has some muscle twitching down my left arm for two weeks and that stopped. I do have an appointment with a heart doctor this month. I feel great.
Your blood pressure is normal and no other complaints present
So heart problem here seems less likely but as you have chest tightness since two week better to rule out cardiac cause by following ways... -Physical examination -pulse examination -EKG -Tread mill etc...
If needed and EKG suspicious than investigate with echocardiography
According to cause specific treatment given
Take care
Consult physician for examination
