What Causes Tilted Uterus And Pain In Left Side Of Abdomen?
Hello, I had an OB/GYN appointment today but the doctor was in surgery and all his morning patients got rescheduled. He has informed me that I have a tilted uterus. It is tilted to the back and to the left. I m having horrible pains in my left side of my abdomen in the front and back. What is causing this and how can I fix it?
Pain on the left side of abdomen may be due to the following conditions: 1) Retroverted uterus 2) Acute pancreatitis 3) Acute gastritis 4) Duodenal ulcer 5) Perforated viscus 6) Acute Mesenteric ischemia 7) Large bowel obstruction
As you have severe pain, you need to go to the ER immediately and undergo few tests like: 1) Ultrasound imaging of abdomen and pelvis 2) CT abdomen if necessary Treatment depends upon the cause of pain. Please see the physician or surgeon immediately.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
