Hi,
Your symptoms are suggestive of dyspepsia/
GERD. Timing, frequency, and diet, etc., are all important factors in making the diagnosis. For example, for how long have you had these symptoms? Did your symptoms start suddenly or gradually? How much caffeine, alcohol, tea, etc., do you drink, and when? Do you eat excessively spicy food? Do you lie down in bed right after eating food?
Here are some things you can do to see if it improves your symptoms.
- Sit upright for at least 30 minutes after eating food
- Take dinner at least 3 hours before going to bed
- Try OTC antacids
- Try to reduce intake of tea, coffee, alcohol, spicy food
If these fail to relieve your symptoms or if they worsen, you need to see a doctor who will do further testing to determine and plan further management of your symptoms.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
