What Causes Tinging And Numbness In Toes And Fingers With History Of Stroke?
I had a stroke a year and a half ago. I m 55. My toes and fingers tingle and are numb a majority of the time. My regular doctor doesn t think it s a concern. I also have a irregular heart beat. Should I be worrying about my feet and hands. I have a hard time coordinating my fingers.
I suggest you to get your blood sugars tested to rule out uncontrolled diabetes as a possible cause. If blood sugars are under control, consider adding Vitamin B12 supplement to your daily routine. If symptoms does not improve over a period of 4 weeks, or worsen rapidly consider seeing your treating physician at the earliest.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ayesha Shareef, General & Family Physician
