General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Tingling sensation, sensation of feeling pins & needles, numbness can be due to various underlying issues like vitamin B12 deficiency, diabetes and demyelination of nerve fibers.

I suggest you to get your blood sugars tested to rule out uncontrolled diabetes as a possible cause. If blood sugars are under control, consider adding Vitamin B12 supplement to your daily routine. If symptoms does not improve over a period of 4 weeks, or worsen rapidly consider seeing your treating physician at the earliest.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ayesha Shareef, General & Family Physician
