What Causes Tingling All Over Body When Suffering From Fibromyalgia And IBS?

HI, I am a 48-year old female who has severe fibromyalgia. I have tingling all over my body, but it is worse in my legs. I have tingling in my legs often and will notice the tingling in my legs gets worse before a bowel movement. I also have been diagnosed with gastroparesis a few years ago. I am so worried I have something more serious than the fibromyalgia. I also have irritable bowel syndrome. Could this tingling just be related to the irritable bowel syndrome?

Hello,

No, it is not related to IBS, it is much related to Fibromyalgia, as you said also you have gastroparesis. You must see a neurologist to perform some more investigations and prescribe to you the appropriate treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Salah Saad Shoman, Internal Medicine Specialist
