What Causes Tingling And Itching In Thighs?

Please help .... My washer and dryer is in our basement. I bring clean laundry up two flights of 15 each steps. By the first flight I am totally out of breath and almost wheezing. I m 62 years old, an ex-smoker and numerous health problems. What I can tie this to is very week thighs which I feel contribute to the lack of breath. My thighs began tingling and itching profusely one year ago. I can t seem to get a diagnosis on any of this.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms can be related to many medical conditions. One of the common medical conditions that cause tingling in the thighs can be osteoarthritis. I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen to relieve the pain. I also suggest using cold compresses for local application. If the symptoms continue, you should see a rheumatologist for further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
