What Causes Tingling And Numbness In Hands, Fingers And Arm?
Hi my name is Wanda i am a 51 yo black female. At night, I am experiencing extreme tingling and numbness in both hands fingers and arm. It is most aggravating when I wake up in the morning. I previously had a shoulder (right) injury resulting from weightlifting and completed physical therapy for that approx. 6 months agao. I also had a fall and injured my (left) shoulder approx 1 year ago with no physical therapy involved. As I previously stated, I am a black female 51 years old, 5 5 and weigh apprx 250lbs. To my knowledge I am not diabetic. Thank you
Here first rule out vitamin b 12deficiency as it can lead such presentation.... It is done from blood sample.... For that vitamin b 12 injections or tablet can be taken.....
You have not diabetis so it is ruled out.
Second there can be chance of neuropathy... EEG like testing can be useful... Physiotherapy useful... Zinc supplementation also help.
Nerve compression also can be the cause.... Rule out ischemic causes if cause not clear...
Take care.
Keeping this in mind consult orthopedic surgeon for it.
