Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been having tingling in both my feet and left arm and also occasionally a feeling of goose bumps. I sit at my job for long hours a day and get neck adjustments from my chiropractor at least once or more a month but have never experienced these symptoms before. The chiropractor told me I could possibly aquire a herniated disc from long hours of sitting . I was also started on Desipramine earlier in the week for depression and anxiety so wandering if this could also be an adverse reaction to the drug. I stopped taking the drug a couple of days ago but symptoms are still present. I m getting anxious about possibly have a herniated disc from sitting at my computer for so long. Could you please help with some advice?
hello, thank you for your query, i would advise you to consult your psychiatrist first as this symptoms may be side effects of antidepressant. for long work in sitting position it also give rise to such problems.for that u need to have some change. 1.take a brisk work or freehand exercizes after an hour of work. 2.do an mri of the lumbosacral region and consult an orthopaedic surgeon 3.you can take gabapentin tablets that might help you to get relief of such symptoms. hope this will help you. regards.
