What Causes Tingling In Arm When Suffering From Atrial Tachycardia?
Hello , I be been diagnosed with atrial tachycardia in 2010. I m in 50 yrs old and feeling the start of menopause symptoms. I woke up this morning with numbness and tingling in my right arm from hand to upper arm. Followed by inner coldness sweeping through from the soles of my feet up to the inside of my chest followed by difficulty breathing and light headedness. i took 2 tablets of .05 Clonotril which my doctor prescribed me to alleviate panic and bring heart rate to normal. What s that heart attack or just perimenopausal symptoms ? I m on atenolol 12.5mg daily, tambocor 100 mg daily, Jovia 100mg daily and vastarel 35mg 2x day maintenance medication. Thank you.
The symptoms you mentioned don't seem to be a heart attack but most likely a menopausal symptom or a panic attack or excessive anxiety. All the medications you are using help in atrial tachycardia as well as preventing a heart attack. So keep using the medications as prescribed and try to have some good sleep to relieve anxiety. If you experience similar episode again, then you may consult your cardiologist once.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
