What Causes Tingling In Roof Of Mouth And Itching In Back Of Eyeballs Post Sugar Intake?

Hello Dr. Rynne, are you aware of any condition that can cause the roof of my mouth to tingle but only directly after (and sometimes even during) eating extremely sugary foods like cake frosting, sugar cookies, etc.? I also feel itching at the backs of my eyeballs (I know, that sounds crazy, but it s always those two places).

I have gone through your query and will try my level best to resolve it..

As per your complain tingling sensation over the roof of mouth along with itching at the back of eyeballs seems to be most probably due to allergy to sugars and it is causing itching, burning and tingling..

You should consult an Allergist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigation to rule out and confirm allergy can help..

In case if allergic reaction is confirmed as the cause then you can be advised anti allergics like Allegra or levocetrizine..
Also you should avoid consuming the allergy causing foods..
You should also discuss about Immunotherapy for reducing the severity of allergy symptoms..
