What Causes Tingling In The Hands And Arms After Taking Steroid Injection?

I came down with a throat infection and was given a antibiotic and steroid shot early this morning. I was also prescribed some antibiotic pills to take later this evening. After I took them I felt tingling in my hands and arms and I still feel the tingling. Just wondering if it is a sideaffect from the shots?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
Given that the symptoms started immediately after the shots, it may be some drug side effects or interaction.Other caused of numbness in hands like neuropathy, vitamin B12 deficiency, metabolic/ionic disorders... are less likely.I will suggest you just observe since it is not an emergency. You may see your Doctor for evaluation if the symptoms continue after your treatment.
I will suggest you get enough rest, eat well and healthy and take enough fluids and fruits.
Hope this will help you
Best regards
