Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Intermiittent tingling in shoulders, arms, and hands. It started a few weeks ago, and then subsided. For a week now, it has started back and is waking me at night. It is relieved with Tylenol and aspirin. It seems to happen most when I go from sitting to standing and lasts for about 3-5 minutes.
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM The symptoms you present could be caused by a number of medical conditions. Some of these causes include: -Peripheral neuropathy -Cervical neuropathy -Diabetic neuropathy -Metabolic/ionic imbalances -Neurologic problems like MS -Liver/kidney disorders I will suggest you see the Doctor for examination and work-ups.Work-ups like fasting blood sugar, serum electrolytes, full blood count, liver/renal function test and a neck x-ray or CT scan may help identify the exact cause of the problem.Treatment of this condition will however depend on the underlying cause. You may however -continue with tylenol -Eat well healthy with enough vegetables Your Doctor will take care of the underlying cause from the results of the tests. Hope this information will help you Best regards
