What Causes Tingling Sensation And Numbness Behind The Calf?

I have had a pinched nerve in my back for about 4 years now with no flare ups. 6 weeks ago, I heavily sprained/twisted my ankie and landed on it. Since going into physical therapy I have discovered that the back of my calf is numb-when I do leg stretches of any angle, I NEVER feel it in the back of that calf. Now, on the same side of my body, my right hand suddenly started tingling like it has fallen asleep. Am I looking at a stroke maybe, or could it be from the fall or the pinched nerve?

Yes, the pinched nerve can be responsible for at least the symptoms in the leg. If there is involvement of nerves in the neck as well, then this would explain the symptoms in the hand but the hand would not be affected by nerves in the lower back

The nerves that supply the hand come out from the spinal cord in the neck.
If you are not sure then imaging of the neck may be needed.

Trauma to the nerves such as compression/pinching, can cause abnormal sensations or a loss of sensation/numbness.
