Hello,
You are suffering from
tingling sensation and numbness in the arms during sleep. Commonly it occurs when a person sleeps in the wrong position. Avoid sleeping on your arms, a wedge pillow may be of help. When your arm becomes numb do stretch exercises and simple movements to improve circulation. Persistent numbness in the arm without any apparent cause suggests an underlying medical problem that may require
physical therapy or surgery.
Sudden numbness in one or both arms may be a sign of a developing
peripheral neuropathy,
peripheral artery disease,
heart attack, stroke, or nerve damage, deficiency of vitamin B6, B12, folate and mineral deficiencies. If diabetic control your blood glucose level at all cost as it may trigger and worsen your symptoms. Take vitamin B6, B12, folate and mineral rich home made nutritious food to restore any deficiency that may be causing you symptoms. You can also take supplements.
Stay active, avoid sedentary lifestyle. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a
neurologist, get nerve conduction velocity test, nerve biopsy, EEG, etc., done to detect any nerve problem or weakness. Get routine cardiac tests done like stress test, EKG, lipid function test,
echocardiography to detect any developing coronary artery disease. You will be treated accordingly. Stay away from addictions if any.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
