What Causes Tingling Sensation And Numbness In The Fingers While On Prednisone?
I am currently treating for pneumonia. Was hospitalized for 2 days with IV antibiotics and Prednisone. Was sent home with Cefuroxime 500 mg once daily, Azithromycin 500 mg twice daily, and Prednisone 10 mg 4 daily for 3 days, 3 daily for 3 days, 2 daily for 3 days, and 1 daily for 3 days. My antibiotics are all and I m down to the second day of 2 daily Prednisone. Am now experiencing a little tingling and numbness in 2 fingers. Is this a side effect of meds?
Yes, steroids and antibiotics have the side effects of tingling sensation of figures or any other body parts.
You need to add vitamin B complex to your schedule after the antibiotic course is terminates, make sure the steroid is taken as per physicians advice should not be terminated as per your will.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
