What Causes Tingling Sensation And Numbness In Thumb Post Physical Activity?

Last weekend I used sheers to trim some bushes on the side of my house and as I squeezed down I experienced a sharp pain at the inside based of my right thumb. There is no contusion but it is tender to palpation. Subsequently, I have experienced a slight tingling and numbness toward the top half of my thumb. I have full range of motion without any pain. Could I have damaged a ligament, nerve or artery?

Hi, you may have pierced by some thorn or bitten by some insect. If the area swells after some time apply some cream like betnovate GM, otherwise it will recover in 1-2 days.
