What Causes Tingling Sensation And Numbness On Right Side Of Body And Head?

For last three days I have been experiencing tingling, numbness on right side of head. It goes down into right ear and face area. Today my leg foot and hand on my right side also fell asleep. But they don t stay asleep like my head its started Sunday and has been constant. I press down on my head and cannot feel anything. Then i also get small shoots of pins n needle pain occasionally with my head. Should I go to ER to have MRI of my head done? I m savvy enough to know something to do with my nerves obviously thats why these areas are asleep but I want to know what common cause is for these symptoms...thank you Angela

Hello,

Your symptoms could be related to different possible disorders: migraine, epilepsy seizures or stroke. For this reason, I recommend going to the ER for a physical exam and performing a brain MRI. An EEG may be needed too.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
