What Causes Tingling Sensation And Red Blotches On Penis?

Dear Doctor, I have a tingling sensation on the head of my penis. This is a red spot that looks as if It could of rubbed a bad way on some clothes. It almost looks like a burn. There are no fluid filled bumps that I can see. There is no burning during urination or anything. I m freaking out just a little bit but I have researched herpes vigorously and the photos don t seem to match what I have...what do you think?

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi,

As per your description, it may be an infection over your penis. If you had any sexual activity or intercourse before this redness then it may lead to an abrasion. So for that, you frequently wash your penis and it is advisable to consult the local skin specialist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Adish V. Doshi,
