Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have some weird feeling, not painful more annoying, numbing or tingling in the left side of my upper mid-section area. It is located below my left breast in an area centered between my left side and front of my mid section. It is an area about the size of my palm. On Thursday last week I had a bad gassy stomach and something I ate didn t set well. After about 48 hours of on/off bad gas and bloating that went away, this weird numbing is there now. It is in an area I felt large gas bubbles rolling. Don t know if there is a connection or not to gas episode. It isn t constant, it is coming/going. At times I think it has left and I eat or drink something or move around and it is back. Thank you for any clarity. Tracy.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Where is the sensation is it in the breast or below the breast??
Possible causes like neuropathy or pregnancy or mastitis or intercostal nerve neuropathy or herpes zoster etc.
Stomach bloating and indigestion may be due to acidity, peptic ulcer disease or irritable bowel syndrome or food intolerance.
Acidity itself may lead to midsternal burning sensation and tingling sensation in breast. Use tablet Pantoprazole before breakfast for one week. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
