Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Tingling Sensation In Inner Thigh And Lower Left Back Pain?
I have been having a pin prickly feeling go down my inner thigh for about a week and a half. But it started the end of June when I woke up after sleeping weird with a lower left back pain. Later that morning I was having a burning sensation going down the top of my left side on and off. Moving to above my knee and then my inner thigh. It got so bad not even my bed sheet could touch my thigh. I now also get an itchy feeling too. I don t know what to do of sho to see. It feels like a nerve problem.
The character of pain (burning quality) suggests that it is probably originating in nerve. Though rare but pain of shingles can occur without typical dermatomal vesicular rash i.e zoster sine herpete.
I suggest that you to take oral pregabalin 75-150mg, twice daily preferably in combination with oral methylcobalamine. This is a prescription drug and you may take it after consulting with your doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
