What Causes Tingling Sensation In Nose And Cheeks After Taking Cortisone Injection?

I received a cortisone shot in my heel today which I have had this done 5 times in the last 7 years for heel spurs. Tonight my nose my cheeks and my lips are tingling. Is this normal? It has never done this before but I wasn t sick either.I have had some sinus issues all week too for which I am taking Zyrtec

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have tingling sensation in nose and cheeks after taking Cortisone injection. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like stress , migraine , multiple sclerosis , caffeine , drug side effect or sinusitis. I would suggest you to apply warm compresses on nose , keep yourself relax and avoid caffeinated product . Consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis . Doctor may order CT scan , do nasal endoscopy and take history . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics along with muscle relaxant . Doctor may also refer you to neurologist for migraine or nerve problem.
