Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Tingling Sensation In Thighs Radiating Towards Stomach And Lower Back?
I have a tingling sensation in my thighs for 10 days which occasionally moves upwards to my stomach in certain positions. The pain is then felt in the abdomen and lower back area and feels like pushing down towards my rectum as if I need to go to the bathroom. The pain can be severe and feels like it is moving from the front to the back and can last 10 to 20 seconds. The pain is so severe I can feel like passing out. And then it is gone.
Abdominal pain and lower back pain can occur in case of bowel disorders or renal stones.Abdominal ultrasound should be done to rule out any abnormalities.
Any history of fever, vomiting, constipation, blood in stool or urine should be ruled out.Renal or a pelvic ultrasound should also be done to rule out any stones.
Constipation and impacted hard stool can cause abdominal pain and your above mentioned symptoms. After ruling out any bowel obstruction ,enema should be done.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
