Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My (adult) son is currently in Peru. He just called to say that he has red areas in the palms of both hands that appear symmetrical in shape, not raised, but he feels they are slightly tingling. No unusual foods or beverages. Should he be alarmed? Started two days ago, no other symptoms.
The mild tingling sensations in the hands can be due to a mild nerve root irritation or due to decreased levels of vitamin B12. Decreased fluid intake or electrolyte disturbance can also cause this.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
