What Causes Tingling Sensation On The Back Despite Taking Shingles Vaccination?
I am 72, had the shingles vaccine several years ago. Experiencing some pain, tingling on left side of my back along my bra line in the same area for about 7-10 days.....no rash. Is it possible to have shingles without a rash even with the vaccine?
I've gone through your query. I can understand your anxiety.
Shingles without a rash is not common & also difficult to diagnose because of the absence of rash. It usually presents with itching, numbness, pain, burning Sensation etc.
Though the chances of getting the infection after vaccination is less, your presenting symptoms & age (>50years), compromised immune system etc. concludes it might be a reactivation of shingles without rash.
I advice you to visit your doctor to get tested for shingles antibodies in blood & also to confirm about starting antiviral medications.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
