What Causes Tinnitus And Dizziness While Suffering From Ear Infection?

Hi 74ya take tablet when required for inner ear infection buzzing in ears and then short bouts of slight feeling un steady (balance) no other symptoms ie vision vommiting or pain Does not appear to be from anything I do on a regular basis ie walking dig garden etc no warning My description to my doctor of my experience is vague and I have had all the usual test and x rays

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of tinnitus and dizziness while suffering from ear infection. The symptoms you mention in query can occur due to simple ear wax to more serious acoustic neuroma like condition. Need not to worry.

You should avoid touching or pricking it with any sharp object and maintain hygiene of ear canal. Go for valsva maneuvers. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist once and get it examined. Doctor may order certain test like audiometry , CT scan, low and high pitched ringing to rule out conditions like hearing loss , exposure to loud noises, and earwax build-up. Doctor may treat it according to the diagnosis, he/she may prescribe medicine like eprisone and antibiotics. Put Otogesic ear drops.
