HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that this may be tinnitus. Tinnitus refers to abnormal noises that persons may hear in the ear.

There are different possible causes such as: (a) ear infection
(b)trauma to the ear
(c)age related hearing loss
(d)side effect of medication- some diuretics or pain killers from the NSAID family eg ibuprofen , naproxen, cataflam
(e)excess cerumen
(f)presence of a mass
(g)meniere's disease
(h)high blood pressure
(i)anemia

If it recurs then you may need to see an ENT doctor to determine the cause.

This would require examinations of ears and likely investigations such as blood tests.

I hope this helps
