What Causes Tinnitus When With A History Of Head Injury?

Well I hit my head when I was around 10 years old. I seen a big black spot that didn t go away for a while. Then a ringing in my ear started off and on now I m 45 years old I m still having the ring and roaring in both ears every day. Did hitting my head have something to do with the ringing in my ears?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI,
I understand your query.
Hit on head along with tinnitus suggests involvement of internal ear with the head injury.
An expert examination by ENT specialist,& necessary investigations ( MRI/CT scan) as per need would help you.
Thanks.
I find this answer helpful
