What Causes Tinnitus?

I am a 59 year old Female with stage 3 Kidney Disease. For the last 2 weeks I have a ringing in my left ear. When I move or get up I get very dizzy and nauseated and the ringing will get louder sometimes just wrapping my head. The left side of my head also feels heavy and odd. and my nose burns like I went underwater and got water up my nose. This has become totally disabling as I can not really do anything without getting sick!

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms are suggestive of an inner ear infection or a sinus infection. For this reason, I would recommend consulting with an ENT specialist for a physical exam and performing a sinus X-ray study. In the meantime, I recommend using nasal decongestant drops.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
