What Causes Tiredness And Blood During Bowel Movements?

For the past couple of days I have been crapping blood along with crap. It started randomly. I have also been extremely tired, wanting to do nothing but sleep. I am even more worried seeing blood because three months ago I almost bled to death following post-tonsillectomy bleeding. I have been anaemic since then. What could the cause of the blood in my faeces be? What can/should I do about this?

Welcome to HealthCare Magic. Thank you for posting your query.
I can understand your concern.

You may be having haemarrhoids , colonic polyps or ulcer- to name a few.
I would suggest you to -
- Take loads of water
- Avoid straining during stool
- Avoid oily,spicy food
- I would start tablet Pantoprazole
- Have a diet rich in fibres
- Get a blood haemoglobin , platelets, prothrombin time , INR done to have a look at the bleeding tendencies.
- Get an ultrasound abdomen done

It may be time that you get an upper GI endoscopy and a colonoscopy done.

Do not worry.

I would suggest you to visit a gastroenterologist. He/she can examine you and correlate clinically and guide you on the further MANAGEMENT.

Hope this helps.
Have a nice day.
Regards.
